Beautiful Milla Jovovich married her partner of 6 years, director Paul W.S. Anderson in an intimate sunset ceremony in the garden of their Beverly Hills home.
Wearing a 60′s style gown that she designed herself and a traditional veil, Milla carried a bouquet of red flowers and was attended by the couple’s daughter Ever Gabo.

The glamourous gowns in Toni Maticevski Spring/Summer 2010 collection have won my heart! Intricate details and layering, oversized silk flowers adorning shoulders and hips and the mix of white, ivory, black and grey combine to create a truly stunning collection.
Whether the occasion is formal or cocktail, any bride could walk down the aisle in or dance the night away in one of these beautiful gowns.

Jacqueline Lee Bouvier and John F. Kennedy were married on September 12, 1953, in the picturesque St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Newport, Rhode Island in front of over 800 guests.
Jackie O epitomised sophisticated, glamourous style and is still a celebrated fashion icon.
Jackie wore a dress of ivory tissue silk, with a portrait neckline, fitted bodice, and a bouffant skirt embellished with bands of more than fifty yards of flounces by New York designer Ann Lowe.
Her rosepoint lace veil, worn first by her grandmother Lee, was draped from a tiara of lace and orange blossoms. Jackie wore a choker of pearls and a diamond bracelet that was a gift from her groom, JFK.
The bride’s bouquet was of pink and white spray orchids and gardenias. Her attendants, wore pink taffeta also by Ann Lowe.
The reception was held on the huge terrace of the 300 acre Auchincloss oceanfront estate, Hammersmith Farm, for more than twelve hundred guests. The wedding cake was five layers and four feet tall.
Jackie’s beautiful gown, still as stylish today as it was over fifty years ago is now housed at the Kennedy Library in Boston, Massachusetts.
Inspired by the glamorous themes of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s celebrated novel, The Great Gatsby, Sara Riff- Director of Entertainment Relations for Jimmy Choo worked with her wedding planner to create a lavish Summer party in the gardens of a private home, reminiscent Gatsby’s parties in the “Jazz-Age” of the 1920′s.
Riff wears a chantilly lace Monique Lhuillier gown, accessorised with a jewelled belt and blusher veil.

Vintage diamond jewellery complemented the 1920′s theme.
Bridal shoes were peep-toe Jimmy Choo’s (of course) and are complemented so beautifully in the shot below, photographed on a chair with inlaid bone. A continuation of the decadent themes.
“The expansive lawn is reminiscent of Gatsby get-togethers” says Riff. Elegant all white tablecloths and market umbrellas are complemented by decadent table-settings; silver rimmed dinnerware and mother of pearl tableware. The simple white orchids and hydrangeas are opulently displayed in silverware polished to a mirror finish.

Following on from today’s earlier post on Paris, Je T’aime spread in Vogue’s September 2007 issue styled by the still beautiful Grace Coddington I wanted to share these wonderful shots from Grace’s modelling career in the 1960′s.
Watching The September Issue on Thursday night I was captivated by the gorgeous shoots, particularly those styled by Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington. A former model, Grace’s talent and personality shine through in the film and I have become quite the fan!
I have always been drawn to the fashions and styles of the 1920′s and my own wedding had hints of the era with its ‘Vintage Glamour’ theme. The below shoot, Paris, Je T’aime, styled by Grace Coddington and photographed by Steven Meisel will take your breath away.
Given that I am watching the Mad Men series at every given moment, I couldn’t help myself but feature the show as today’s muse. The ladylike old-school glamour of the Mad Men women and the sharp three button suits of the men has captured the hearts of audiences and fashion designers alike.
Set in 1959 and then into the sixties, the formal, glamorous style is one that can easily provide inspiration today. To avoid looking like you are stuck in a retro theme, pick just a few elements. A matte red lipstick, a full skirt to mimic Betty Draper’s girlish style, a modest neckline, a strand of pearls or a cinched in waist.
The fashion of the women of Sterling Cooper, a mix of pencil skirts, buttoned up cashmere cardigans and a strand of pearls, made complete with a matte red lip has had me swooning. Joan is of course in a class of her own, single-handedly making curves fashionable for the noughties!
The surprisingly traditional wedding of Dita Von Teese and Marilyn Manson was (unsurprisingly) gothic in style.
Dita lived out her Scarlett O’Hara fantasy in a Vivienne Westwood royal purple silk taffeta gown whilst Manson channeled Captain Hook in Galliano and Moschino. The result being dramatic, stylish and romantic. (ignoring for the moment that they are no longer together!!)
A little different to the usual white frocks, but nevertheless Dita looks fabulous and is today’s muse for her bravery; combining her personality along with tradition. Whilst most of us don’t go this far, it is inspiration for in being true to the vision for a personal day for you and your fiancée. The wedding was held at Kilshan House in Ireland, owned by friend and artist Gottfried Helwein who also hosted the wedding. The ceremony was conducted by film director Alejandro Jodrowsky in the castle’s ornate dining room. The reception (image above) was held in the Great Hall and was decorated with 4,000 black and red roses, gold and black Wedgewood crystal goblets, black linens, black velvet curtains, all lit by candelight which added to the gothic feel of the evening.
For more great images visit the Vogue coverage of the day, as well as proof the bride wore a 1940′s style white dress for her L.A registry wedding.
