When bride-to-be Emma wanted a sweet and unique way to ask her sisters and dear friends to be part of her wedding day she turned to favourite childhood toy to tell the story.
A trip down Barbie lane in Target, Emma found 4 Barbies that resembled each maid, discovering along the way that brunette Barbies are quite the rarity!
Knowing she wanted very natural and neutral vintage styling with Mad Men style bridesmaids dresses, Emma found a Barbie clothes maker on Etsy and had 4 different frocks created; two wiggle-style dresses and two full skirt styles, each either strapless or with a scoop neckline and short sleeves.
A talented designer, Emma created tags using the fonts and ink colours we want to use throughout our wedding stationery suite which read
“I love you more than I love Barbies { which is a lot } Will you be my bridesmaid/maid of honour?”

The result? Nothing short of sentimental, unique and FABULOUS!
Thank you Emma for sharing your gorgeously creative and unique ‘invitation’ to your lucky bridesmaids.
The gorgeousness continues with a beautiful shoot. Wouldn’t a picnic tea-party be just the thing right now?
Dappled light, delicious sweet treats and wearing the most amazing dress you’ll ever wear surrounded by fragrant floral blooms! Heaven.

If you haven’t already checked out Utterly Engaged, the worlds first wedding e-magazine you have to- and soon!
The latest issue features picturesque locations, luscious floral inspirations and quirky fashions. I have literally been poring over every page and detail.
Can you believe the gorgeousness of this shot? The quaint little hut and the couple in the boat just make me ache for such a perfect scene.

Have you ever seen such pretty blossoms? Heavenly!

The floral head-piece is so Ruby & Joy and love the soft exposure of these fashion shots.

And an interview with Kate of divine stationery brand Ruby & Willow. I am seriously inspired by the gorgeous presentation of the bottom invite.

I discovered Love, Loans and Linen via their ‘partner in style’, Follow Studio who is without a doubt, one of the most talented stylists and designers in Australia.
So, it goes without saying that there isn’t one thing in their Palm Beach boutique that I don’t covet for my own. If you are after the perfect accoutrements to style your wedding day they have just the thing.

(L to R): Votive candle covers, oversize peg- perfect for table numbers, zinc wire hanging votive, notecards in glass jar- a guestbook alternative, vintage ribbon spool, wire basket- I am picturing this filled with notes to the couple or with holding a glass vase of flowers, cotton ribbon, chalkboards for table numbers or sweet messages, linen tablecloth, slate coasters for place-settings or table numbers (they also stock slate pencils), soy votive candles.
Love, Loans and Linen hire a wide range of styling props including jars, bottles, bunting, linen, tables, stools and offer a styling service in partnership with Follow Studio.
