Vintage Style Engagement Shoot

Engagement shoots are a great opportunity to get to know your photographer before the wedding as well as ease up in front of the camera. After all, unless you’re Miranda Kerr, how often are you the focus of a photography session?!

Meredith and Patrick’s vintage themed engagement shoot provides just the inspiration for your own romantic day. Hit up eBay Etsy and your local thrift store for vintage books and props to create a warm setting for photos you will treasure in the years to come.

Romantic Countryside Engagement Shoot

Emma and charming Mr M celebrated their engagement with a romantic afternoon on their property in country Victoria.

As Emma shares “We are beyond in love with our photos, they are exactly what I had envisaged: casual, relaxed, country, beautiful light, props, wide open space, long dry grass and us in our home.”

Take a peek and prepare to be transported into a world of country charm and romance which is quintessentially Australian.

Romantic Engagement Shoot “4 seasons in one day”

I just have to share this gorgeous engagement shoot with you. Not just because it captures so many sweet and romantic moments, but because it is a wonderful demonstration of the breathtaking atmosphere a rainy day can create. It can’t be planned, but when it happens, the results are incredible!

The shoot started in a bookshop cafe with the couple sharing a coffee and whilst the posed moments are undoubtedly adorable, my favourite pic is of the couple laughing and sharing a truly genuine moment of happiness.

A trip to Centennial Park was filled with more special moments, as well as Mother Nature showing off as best she could!

“We had 4 seasons in one day with the rainbow, rain and gorgeous warm sunset”

Once Upon A Time… A Romatic Proposal

Imagine your boyfriend tells you he has found a cute book he thinks you might like,
and asks to read it to you.
And that the book is the story of your entire relationship
that he has written and published all by himself
(and a friend has illustrated)

And by the end of the book, he has asked you to be his wife

Nick and Kristen, happy couple.

May you live happily ever after!

Engagement Photography Session

Unless you and your fiancé are professional models, it is unlikely you will have had much experience in front of a camera. Trust me when I say that the average wedding day produces 600+ photos and you will be in most of them!

An engagement shoot is a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, work out what feels good and looks good for you and also get to know the photographer so you can forget about it all on the actual wedding day.

Not to mention it’s a great way to have fun with your fiancĂ©, and get some great shots of the two of you!

Photograher of the above images, Jessie of JStudios says “As someone who takes a long time to warm up to the camera I really find that engagement sessions are a great bonding experience. It is great as a photographer to get to know my clients better before the big day. I spend alot of time talking to my clients, finding out about them. I also find that surprisingly it is usually the groom that takes longer to warm up (and usually feels he has been dragged th
ere) but after a while he gets into it and really enjoys himself. I also try to get one amazing shot of the bride to be. This gives her more confidence in me as her photographer, but also the confidence in herself that she is gorgeous and worthy of beautiful images of herself!”

Thank you Jessie for sharing your thoughts and these gorgeous engagement shoots with Amour Amour!
